Wangethi Mwangi of Kenya and Johnson Mbwambo of Tanzania - was present in Zimbabwe for the last two weeks of the Presidential Election campaign in March 2002.

As with the first CPU media monitoring exercise conducted in Sri Lanka in 2000, their brief was specifically to monitor the media in Zimbabwe during the election campaign and record their findings. They also reported the election for their individual papers.
