Rest for senior citizens
21 November 2007

Barry Smith and I visited a small beautiful town called Bingara which is forty-five minutes away from Tamworth. Aboriginal for 'shallow river crossing', Bingara is nestled on the Gwydir River in the New England area of northwest New South Wales. As we were walking along the pavement, I came across this sign which fascinated me. Next to a clothing shop, there are two chairs so that senior citizens can rest when they get tired from walking around town. These seats are always there, day and night.
