Marc Woods lost his leg to cancer as a teenager. He represented Great Britain in the swimming pool at Olympic, Commonwealth and World Championship level, winning over thirty medals and setting a number of world records. After retiring from a seventeen-year career in the pool, Marc has taken up mountaineering and in November 2006 he reached the summit of a 6400m mountain in the Himalayas. Marc's achievements have been, and continue to be an inspiration.
