Tadau Keamatan of Sabah Malaysia - Tadau Keamatan is a festival that marks the end of the paddy harvesting season in Sabah, West Malaysia. It is celebrated by a small tribe - the Kadazan Dusun - who occupy the interior of Sabah every 31st May.
The celebration includes traditional dance, which isnormally performed by selected young ladies of the tribe, in full traditional dress.
The photo was taken before the performance, and shows the beauty of these ladies in full dress. The Tadau Keamatan is the most awaited occasion for the Kadazan Dusun and the people of Sabah and it is a declared public holiday by the Government of Malaysia.
