The Commonwealth Secretariat is recruiting for 2 Communications Officers who will be responsible for making contacts with and briefing key journalists in media organisations (print, broadcasting, internet) in all Commonwealth countries for the purpose of publicising the Commonwealth and Secretariat activities. In addition s/he will be responsible for writing public statements (press releases, information notices, briefing notes and on occasion speeches)
Applicants must have a University degree or an equivalent technical, professional or academic qualification and a Post-graduate qualification in media and communications or related field and/or at least 10 years experience in the communications/journalism field. The post requires an incumbent with several years of experience as a hands-on reporter or correspondent in a media organisation.
